The security of your IT infrastructure is a very important and continually evolving thing.  It always bothers me when I meet with prospective clients and they poo poo my recommendation to install a robust firewall appliance on their network or implement a secure password policy.  Fortunately, I don't run in to this as often as I used to, but occassionally I see a consumer router or just the ISP modem and no firewall.  Personally, I like the Cisco ASA 5505 series and they are not expensive, certainly not compared to the potential damage or bad PR that could come with a security breach.  Not to mention that this is just one of several security considerations that must be taken into a... So far, 2011 has been the year of weekly snowstorms. Personally, I love it. This is what winter in New England should be like and it's what I remember from my childhood. For businesses, these weekly storms have presented quite a challenge; do you close the office or ask people to take to the roads when it may not be safe; how do you continue to serve your customers without inconveniencing them due to the weather.
