Flat panel TV's continue to come down in price and are a very popular item this holiday season.  If you look at the ads in the Sunday paper's, you won't see any traditional tube based TV's, but rather a grand selection of LCD and Plasma TV's.  If you are environmentally conscious, you'll also want to know that these new TV's do consume more power than your traditional TV set.  About twice as much.  If this is a concern for you, you'll definitely want to look at LCD technology over plasma.  LCD's consume less than plasma and offer very good picture quality.... Until I saw the latest.  I previously said that I really liked the Apple commercials that slam the Windows PC.  That was until I saw the latest one tonight, in which the PC is a boxer along with the Mac person and the ring announcer.  If you haven't seen it, you're lucky.  Maybe this is why Microsoft has not responded to their ads.  This was was absolutely terrible.... If you haven't seen the SlingBox from SlingMedia, you should.  It's a wonderfully simple device that lets you watch TV anywhere you have a computer or mobile device connected to the Internet.  That's right, it lets you watch TV on a computer or mobile device that's connected to the Internet.  Pretty cool.  The Sling Box connects to your network and cable TV via two connections, the COAX cable from your cable TV and an ethernet cable to your home network or router.  Once that's done, you install the SlingPlayer software on a computer, PDA or other supported device and then you can watch TV on those devices.  When you travel, it's great.  Last year I got stuck in Chicago during a sno...
