FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jenaly President MJ Shoer Lobbies Massachusetts Legislators About The Impact Of 201 CMR 17.00
Portsmouth, NH, June 4, 2009 – MJ Shoer, President and Virtual Chief Technology Officer of Jenaly Technology Group, together with representatives of CompTIA spent the day today meeting with legislators on Beacon Hill discussing the impact of 201 CMR 17.00 on Jenaly clients and the IT industry at large.
Organized by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), the intent of the days activities was to educate key legislators on the proposed final form of the law and the possibly negative impact it may have on small businesses. Representing the global IT industry, CompTIA, through its member companies like Jenaly, hopes to see the law be more business friendly and provide options for businesses that outsource some or all of the IT needs, to be able to more easily come into compliance with the law, slated to take effect on March 1, 2010.
"As a successful outsourced IT services firm, I feel we have an obligation to represent the needs of our clients when legislators consider sweeping legislation like 201 CMR 17.00. As a long term member of CompTIA and former member of its Board of Directors, I strongly support the Associations public policy initiatives. Participating in these meetings is a way I can give back to the industry that has given me so much, for the benefit of our clients and employees. I am hopeful that the legislators will understand that our message is to make the law more realistic and enforceable for the business community it is targeted to", said MJ Shoer.
