Located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, we provide technology consulting to small and mid-sized businesses by offering a wide variety of services, from strategic technology advice and planning to complex technical work. Help Desk Specialist

Providing front line technical support, this mature professional will support our clients and our entire team. This job is an entry level technical position that will require you to be friendly, helpful and use your initiative and technical skills to assist clients remotely over the phone and occasionally in person or at the client site. Your enthusiasm and ideas will help shape the environment in which we all work.

We will rely on your passion and adaptability to maintain a creative, professional presence and perform the following responsibilities:

  • Promptly complete assigned help desk tickets.
  • Assist clients over the phone, via e-mail, in our office and occasionally at client sites.
  • Work closely with our Service Coordinator to ensure service tickets are properly managed.
  • Assist all clients with their questions about any of our supported software and computing platforms to the best of your ability.
  • Assume complete ownership of assigned service tickets and escalate to other team members when appropriate.
  • You will be expected to stay abreast of current news, system information, problems, changes and updates relevant to our user community.
  • Assist wtih projects when requested.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma at a minimum.
  • 1+ years professional related experience.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • This position is based in our office between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Exemplary customer service, communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever changing environment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations; ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
  • Deadline and solutions oriented with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Team player who can roll up their sleeves and get involved in everything from big projects to mundane, simple tasks - A true go-getter!
  • Not easily frazzled and strong time-management skills to navigate busy and slower periods throughout the day.
